Sharon has been one of the most influential and successful agents in Manhattan for decades. After joining Corcoran in 1991 as a top agent, her impeccable reputation and moral integrity have become well-known throughout NYC and the entire brokerage community. She is responsible for selling some of Manhattan's most celebrated high-end properties, and her celebrity clientele has remained loyal to her for many years.

In 2011, Sharon received the residential real estate industry's highest honor when the Real Estate Board of New York presented her with the Henry Forster Award. This award recognized her outstanding record of achievements and her character and conduct that have brought credit to the profession. Sharon's extraordinary body of work has helped shape the landscape of residential real estate as we know it today. She is only the second individual agent to earn this prestigious accomplishment, which is generally awarded to the head of a firm. Additionally, she is the only agent to be honored twice as the recipient of REBNY's Deal of the Year award.

Before entering the real estate field, Sharon spent 17 years at Chemical Bank, where she became the bank's first female Vice President. Prior to that, she was the director of the women's market for Pan American Airways and the director of the youth market for Eastern Airlines.

With over 30 years of experience as a specialist in high-end properties, Sharon has brokered the sale of approximately two billion dollars in luxury townhouses and apartments in many of New York's most exclusive buildings. Her expertise in negotiating and showing properties has made her brand, “Sold 1,” well-known and respected among clients, co-op boards, doormen, and building managers. She provides comprehensive, white-glove services for both buyers and sellers, backed by an extensive personal network of top-tier experts in tax, mortgage, and banking.

In 2016, Sharon formalized a strategic partnership with John Gasdaska and Jonathan Conlon. In 2024, The Gasdaska Conlon Team transitioned from The Corcoran Group to Douglas Elliman, becoming The GVC Team. Sharon moved to Douglas Elliman with the team, ensuring her clients continue to receive the exceptional white-glove service that GVC provides.

A graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Sharon received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1965, being one of seven women in its first coed graduating class. She continues to inspire young girls and women to achieve their full potential by serving as a member of the Madison Square Boy's and Girl's Club Women's Board, an Associate Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, a Director of The Harvard Business School Club of New York, and a former trustee of the Mannes College of Music and The Episcopal School.

Sharon is married to Stephen H. Baum and is the mother of two sons, Ben and Sam, graduates of Princeton, Harvard, and Harvard Law School.
